John Heffernan

John Heffernan has starred in a variety of roles in hit TV series including Luther, Dickensian, Ripper Street and Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell. Heffernan has also appeared in Gavin Hood’s critically acclaimed Eye In The Sky, alongside Helen Mirren, Alan Rickman and Aaron Paul. Heffernan also starred in Sam Hoare’s Having You alongside Anna Friel.

Deemed as a rising star within the stage world, Heffernan has appeared in the English Touring Theatre’s production of Hamlet and The National Theatre’s Major Barbara, which earned him third place in the Ian Charleson Awards for Most Promising Young Actor. Heffernan took the title roles in Edward II for the National Theatre for which he was nominated for an Evening Standard Theatre Award, Oppenheimer for the R.S.C, and Macbeth for the Young Vic.

Heffernan’s recent work includes ITV’s The Loch, where he stars alongside Siobhan Finneran, Laura Fraser and Oliver Greenall. Heffernan’s recent work also includes season 2 of Netflix multi award winning royal drama The Crown where he stars alongside Claire Foy, Matt Smith and Victoria Hamilton. 2018 will see Heffernan star in crime drama ‘Collateral’ alongside Carey Mulligan, Billie Piper and John Simm.
