Stefanie Martini

Stefanie Martini grew up in North Somerset in the West Country. Having completed her secondary education locally (including passing all her classical singing grades), Martini then went on to do an art foundation course at Weston College, Weston-Super-Mare. Martini then took part in a yearlong devised theatre project called ‘Made in Bristol’ at the renowned Bristol Old Vic Theatre, which then lead her on to receiving a place at the prestigious Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts, to study Acting.

Graduating in 2015 from RADA with a BA Hons in Acting, Martini landed the lead role in new three-part drama Doctor Thorne which aired last spring. The drama was adapted for ITV by Academy award winning Downton Abbey creator Julian Fellowes, from one of his favorite novels by Anthony Trollope. Martini played opposite Tom Hollander as his young niece, Mary. Martini also appeared as a guest lead in the much-loved ITV drama Endeavour. Martini will next be seen playing a lead, Lady Ev, in NBC’s much anticipated 10-episode fantasy television series Emerald City (2017). She will then be seen starring early next year on ITV as the lead role of Jane Tennison in the very exciting upcoming prequel to Prime Suspect, Prime Suspect 1973.

In Crooked House Stefanie plays Sophia Leonides; the business-minded, adventurous, and confident daughter of Magda and Philip Leonides, granddaughter of Aristide, and Charles Hayward’s one-time lover.

Talking about Agatha Christie's works, Stefanie said:

You read them when you’re a kid and there kind of every where especially being British I think they’re so kind of entrenched in our identity.
