I finished Nemesis yesterday, and I loved the book, It might not be a sequal to A Carribean Mystery in the true sense of the word but if you hadn't read 'A Carribean Mystery' you wouldn't know who Jason Raphael or Esther is and if you read 'Nemesis' first it would give away the gender of the Murderer in 'A Carribean Mystery' I did know who the Murderer was as I have trhe Joan Hickson Series on \video but I would like to think I would have guesed who the Murderer was. Not having a Policedman in the book added an extra something to the book.

Nemesis is one of my favorite AC books & as well being my favorite MM book, winne. I read Nemesis before I read A Carribean Mystery & thankfully it didn't ruin it for me (like you stated).

If you had to rate it on a scale from 1-10 (10 being the highest) what would you give it winne?

Hello Moley, I am glad you like iot as much as me, I would give it 10 along with 4.50 From Paddington and Sleeping Murder, I even Casted it, What do you think of this?

Professor Wanstead  Greame Garden

Miss Temple            Susan Wooldridge

Clotilde                   Angela Thorne

Lavinia                   Polly Adams

Anthea                   Marcia Warren

Miss Cooke             Susie Blake

Miss Barrow            Sabina Franklin

Shooster                Matt Lucas

Esther Wiliams    Matilda Ziegler

For Broadrip I couldn't decide on Russ Abbot, (GM version of Sleeping Murder), Peter Baldwin (Humphries in JH version of At Bertram's Hotel) or Benjamin Whitrow (After The Funeral). I couldn't think who could play the other parts. and think now perhaps Stephanie Cole should play Miss Temple and perhaps Edward Woodward should be Raphiel, I realise people who aren't from Britain m,ight not know who the others are but I don't know who other people mentioned on thids site are even some British people.

I like your list; I had to look up most of them though b/c admittedly I previously only knew who a few of them were like Angela Thorne; her son is Rupert Penry-Jones who played Roddy in Sad Cypress. And I already knew Stephanie Cole too, of whom I remember you saying would be a great younger version of Tuppence of which I still wholeheartedly agree!

Have you seen the McEwan version of Nemesis yet?

Hi Moley, Did I really say Stephanie Cole would make a good Tuppence? I must be mad, I always thought Stephanie Cole and Angela Thorne would be great Miss Marples'.

Yes unfortunately I have seen Nemesis with Geraldine McEwan, I was very dissapointed, especiallu as they only had to sisters who they turned into Nuns, If they were going to use the word Sister a different way they should have used it in the Nurse sense, I can see why people say it was more like it should be called 'Death On The Coach' I thought Richard E Grant was good and it did remind me of 'Murder by Death' and 'Clue' Never Mind, btw, Have you heard of Linda Thorson? I was going to cast her as Clotilde and it had occured to me Geraldine McEwan would be better suited to play Lavinia.

Oh Good Moley, I thought I was going mad, I haven't got the Foggiest idea who Christina Cole ius so couldn't tell you if I thought she would be a good Tuppednce or if she is related to Stephanie Cole, Lucy Flemyng would make a Good older Tuppence or perhaps Emily Mortimer or Pauline Collins

You did mention Christina Cole playing a younger Tuppence, winne, I remember.

Christina Cole played Lettuce in the McEwan version of Murder At the Vicarage.

That is odd Moley as I have never heard of her and can't picture her.
