Previous Guess the Character Game

If you don't mind, I'd prefer to stay out of writing hints. I don't want to spoil any books, and the only hints I can think of hint at the nature of the solution.

I'll have another go and try not to give anything away. A bit harder this time.
"I may be an elderly invalid but I never miss a trick. I know all my neighbours comings and goings and I'm a shrewd judge of character. If they drop so much as a luggage label I'll spot it."

You could give hints like;
saying who the Detective is and saying if any of the Characters besides the Detective are in other books, I think giving hints make people more inclined to want to play the game, another hint could be; The Title comes from a piece of Poem/Play/Nursery Rhyme etc but hints must only be given after a lot of guesses (say 2 pages) and should get easier like a latter clue could be set in a big house BTW is it Nemesis?

You said snow. So, I will just go out on a limb and ask, is it The Mousetrap?

(Kinda easy)
"It's truly terrible to think that she's dead. I find it very curious that she's been murdered so suddenly after I announce my plan of giving her a share of my fortune once I'm gone. Truly awful. She was an amazing dancer. So young, beautiful and care-free."

Having read the Radio Times descriptions of Poirot episodes and struggled to guess which story they are based on I thought we could have game, similiar to Guess The Character.
The rules are simply to describe a story, novel or play from the prospective of a character (not the murderer, victim or detective) and whoever gets it goes next.
A simple starter to get us going is:
"It seems strange to see all these people together again but the thank Heavens my husband loves me enough to protect me! My grief has been so intense but now we can all move on, if this strange little man will allow it."
