In a Glass Darkly
The narrator is startled by a vision in his mirror: he sees a man with a scarred neck strangling a beautiful blonde. He later meets the woman in his vision, Sylvia, and notes her fiance’s scarred neck. He tells her of his premonition, and the engagement is broken off. But is that all there is to it?
This supernatural story was first published in 1934 in Collier’s magazine in the USA and Woman’s Journal in the UK. It was adapted for UK television as part of the Agatha Christie Hour in 1982 and included Nicholas Clay, Shaun Scott and Nicholas Le Prevost among the cast. In a Glass Darkly is published in The Regatta Mysteries and Other Stories as well as in Miss Marple's Final Cases.
