Magnolia Blossom
Theodora Darrell is running away with her lover – and business associate of her husband - Vincent Easton, when she learns her husband Richard is facing financial ruin. Old loyalties resurface and she returns home to see if she can fix the situation.
This is really much more of a romantic story than a mystery in the usual style of Christie, although its theme of unfaithfulness is perhaps apposite for the period in Christie’s life in which it was published. It was adapted for UK TV as part of the Agatha Christie Hour in 1982 and had among its cast Ralph Bates, Ciaran Madden and Jeremy Clyde.
Magnolia Blossom was published in The Golden Ball and Other Stories and in Problem at Pollensa Bay and Other Stories.
