The Case of the Caretaker
Poor Miss Marple is in bed with flu. When Dr Haydock visits her he brings a manuscript he has written for her to read. His story is a complex one and is based on real events which ended in a tragic death. But the doctor is convinced it was no accident and Miss Marple tends to agree with him...
Careful readers may recognise aspects of this story in the 1967 novel Endless Night. The Case of the Caretaker is published in the collection Miss Marple's Final Cases and also in Three Blind Mice and Other Stories in the US.
