Anna Chancellor

Anna Chancellor plays Rachel Argyll, an imperious and impeccable heiress. Rachel is the ruthless matriarch of the Argyll family and founder of The Argyll Trust for Orphans and Neglected Children. She has dedicated her life to philanthropy and raising her five adopted children. On Christmas Eve 1954 she is brutally murdered.

A familiar face on television and film, Anna is perhaps best known for her unforgettable role as Henrietta (Duckface) in the hit British film Four Weddings and a Funeral. Her TV credits include Lix Storm in the Emmy award-winning miniseries The Hour; Fleming: The Man Who Would Be Bond alongside Dominic Cooper and in the UK comedy Pramface. She has also appeared in popular television series such as Downton Abbey, Pride and Prejudice, and Mapp & Lucia. This will be Anna’s third appearance in an Agatha Christie adaptation, having previously starred in Agatha Christie’s Marple: Murder is Easy in 2008 and Agatha Christie’s Poirot: The Chocolate Box in 1993.
