Ellen Robertson

POPPY. David Ardingly’s alluring but appalling girlfriend, a study in languorous ennui and barbed social cruelties.

Ellen recently starred in Mike Bartlett’s latest play Snowflake at the Old Fire Station in Oxford. An alumnus of the Cambridge Footlights, Ellen and her comedy partner, Charly Clive, recently finished two sold-out runs of their debut show Britney at the Battersea Arts Centre, which was quickly followed by another sell-out stint at the Soho Theatre earlier this year. Britney first appeared at the Edinburgh Fringe, before going to the VAULT Festival, where it was recommended by The Guardian, London Evening Standard and Time Out. She and Charly are currently developing a scripted project for television with Drama Republic. Ellen's first play Nesting was produced at the Watermill Theatre, before going on tour; she has recently written and starred in an episode of new award-winning web series Post Coital, alongside Will Attenborough; and she is currently working on several new projects for the stage.
