David Haig

Olivier Award-winning actor David Haig has had an illustrious career across stage, film and TV. Recently David portrayed the recurring character Oscar Putney in TV series Penny Dreadful, and as Jon opposite Julie Walters in Mo. David’s film credits include Four Weddings and a Funeral in 1994 and Two Weeks Notice in 2002. In 2008, David starred in his first Agatha Christie adaptation in Murder is Easy, as Major Hugh Horton.

David takes on the role of wealthy barrister Sir Charles Carter KC in The Witness for the Prosecution. Carter considers Leonard Vole's case to be a lost cause, until he finds out how wealthy Leonard will be if he's proved innocent.
