Four classic Christie films restored with special content

Studio Canal are releasing four newly restored, star-studded film adaptations based on Agatha Christie’s works. The brand new digital restorations available on DVD and blu-ray from 23rd October are the perfect way for fans to enjoy the classic films in the highest quality yet.

From Albert Finney, Peter Ustinov, Ingrid Bergman, John Gielgud, Geraldine Chaplin, Tony Curtis, Edward Fox, Rock Hudson, Kim Novak and Elizabeth Taylor to Lauren Bacall, Jacqueline Bisset, Sean Connery Anthony Perkins, Michael York and Vanessa Redgrave, the list of acting luminaries to have graced the cast lists of these films is testament to the high quality of these archetypal British mysteries that continue to intrigue and engage audiences today.

The four films are the 1974 Sidney Lumet adaptation of Murder on the Orient Express, the 1978 film of Death on the Nile directed by John Guillermin, and Guy Hamilton’s take on The Mirror Crack’d from 1980 and on Evil Under the Sun released in 1982. Each film comes with special extras, all including a behind the scenes stills gallery of some fantastic photos from set.

Murder on the Orient Express includes a 50-minute making of video and a new interview with producer Richard Goodwin, whilst Death on the Nile contains a making of video, interviews with Dame Angela Lansbury, Richard Goodwin and costume designer Anthony Powell. The Mirror Crack’d hosts new interviews with Dame Angela Lansbury, writer Barry Sandler and Richard Goodwin, and Evil under the Sun has a making of video and interviews with Barry Sandler, Richard Goodwin and Anthony Powell.
