Quotes About Love

Thumbnail Love Quotes B

One of the things that makes Christie’s stories so fascinating is the way she explores human nature throughout her work. The works of Mary Westmacott were referred to by her daughter Rosalind as ‘bitter-sweet stories of love’, her collections starring Parker Pyne and Mr Harley Quin often contain miniature tales of unrequited love, dangerous infatuation, wayward passion, and desperate devotion. In her autobiographical writing Christie reflects on the importance of love and companionship at every stage of life. Even her crime novels, which might seem to be focused on murder and cruelty contain matchmaking, life-long couples, plenty of romance, and dark, deadly love too. Here are a few of Christie and her character’s musings on love.
