As we continue to celebrate the marvellous life and works of Agatha Christie, we are excited to offer you the opportunity to delve deeper into both her literary and personal worlds. Hosted at venues across Christie’s home county of Devon, the International Agatha Christie Festival 2022 is taking place on 10th - 17th September.

With 2022 marking 100 years since Christie embarked on her epic Grand Tour, the festival has an unrivalled programme celebrating her sense of adventure including river cruising and wild swimming. Prefer the quiet life? With over 30 events taking place across the week spanning author discussions, live performances, costume exhibitions and more, there’s bound to be something which appeals to the little grey cells.

Events you won't want to miss

Take a peek behind the scenes at costumes worn by the stars of some of the most-loved Agatha Christie film adaptations including Evil Under The Sun (1982), Death On The Nile (2004) and Murder On The Orient Express (2017) at the Dressed to Kill exhibition.

Make sure to see The Return of Miss Marple, a conversation with authors Elly Griffiths, Dreda Say Mitchell MBE, Kate Mosse OBE and publisher, David Brawn. They will explore their approaches to bringing the iconic character of Jane Marple back to life after 45 years.

'The Essence of a Dream': Agatha Christie's Grand Tour with Tony Medawar is a remarkable opportunity to learn the ins and outs of Christie's ten-month adventure around the world that inspired her love of travel, enhanced by images from The Christie Archive Trust.
