More about this collection
Folio has teamed up with Lucy Foley, bestselling crime writer and author of Murder at the Grand Alpine Hotel, to bring readers this brand-new selection of some of Agatha Christie's finest short stories.
This collection gathers together mysteries from across the Queen of Crime's extraordinary catalogue, each one packed with twists, surprises and ingenious puzzles. Featuring legendary detectives Hercule Poirot and Miss Marple, plus Harley Quin and Parker Pyne. The book also includes eerie standalone tales such as In a Glass Darkly and enduring classics like The Witness for the Prosecution. Murder, robbery, blackmail, missing persons: whatever your mystery of choice, there is plenty here to keep the little grey cells busy.
For the book's interior illustrations, each of the artists from Folio Society's Agatha Christie series were commissioned to illustrate a story from the collection. Olivia Daw (The Pale Horse), Sally Dunne (Crooked House), Michael Phillip Dunbabin (Sparkling Cyanide), Fergus Hare (Murder is Easy), Laura Hope (Ordeal by Innocence), Hokyoung Kim (Endless Night) and David Lupton (And Then There Were None) all return with new artwork, alongside cover artist Owen Gent (The Murder of Roger Ackroyd).
